We knew Croatia long before the Game of Thrones film crew landed in Dubrovnik and new flight routes brought mass tourism to Adriatic beaches. Come with us if you want to dodge the crowds and explore places other tour companies don’t know about.

Our handcrafted activity holidays are based on founders Ben and Emma’s time living on the quaint Dalmatian island of Vis, scouting out their favourite places to hike, bike and kayak along the Adriatic coast, while getting to grips with the local lingo. Because of that, our trips offer authentic escapes to the country’s true hidden gems.

Getting to Croatia

Dubrovnik and Split are both well served by airlines offering direct flights from the UK.

If flying into Dubrovnik, our tour leaders will arrange to pick you up from the airport and take you to the start point of our adventure.

If flying into Split, you can catch a bus from the airport or Adriatic ferry from the island of Hvar to Dubrovnik where we’ll arrange to meet you.

No-fly options to Croatia

You can travel to Croatia by car, bus or train. From the UK, you can travel by rail across Europe and finish up in Dubrovnik. Rome2Rio and The Man in Seat 61 are great resources for planning your journey. Alternatively, you can reach Dubrovnik and Split by coach using Flixbus, Europe’s largest coach operator.

Croatia weather

Croatia enjoys a Mediterranean – Adriatic climate with highs of between 25-28℃ during the height of summer.

The shoulder season months of April-May and September-November bring moderate climbs in the mid-teens and low twenties. However, the weather can be more unpredictable during those periods and rainstorms are expected, so pack a waterproof and layers just in case.

Expect maximum day temperatures of 8-10℃ during the winter months. Don’t worry, we always send a packing list once you book so you will know exactly what to bring whatever the weather.
