I've just returned from doing the Multi Activity holiday at Lake Skadar with Undiscovered Montenegro and it was absolutely brilliant. I'd never visited Montenegro before so I went with an open mind and I have to say it really blew me away. I was travelling on my own so this type of holiday appealed to me, it was 7-days but offered 4-days of adventure activity and 2-days of free time. There were 8 of us staying in the Villa Miela which is a beautiful restored farmhouse with stunning surroundings, and very well equipped. We all got on and shared many meals together, our four days of adventures together were fab and then we went off on our various day-trips during our 2 free days, so each person got what they wanted out of the holiday. The adventures were really well paced days, they all offered completely different experiences and on the difficulty scale I'd rate the most difficult at around 6/10. We went hiking, kayaking, wine tasting, wild swimming, boating on Lake Skadar and a few of us visited the Adriatic coast for swimming one day. Evenings are free so you can choose to pick up food from the local supermarket and eat at home, or go to Virpazar and eat out in one of the many local restaurants. It was a pleasant 20-min walk down hill into Virpazar and we were picked up and brought home afterwards. Scenically Montenegro is absolutely stunning, and we experienced a lot of warm hospitality from local people along the way, we had lunch cooked for us and got to try plenty of local food. Our group was all-women (which is unusual apparently), some travelling in pairs and some solo. This is a great option for solo travellers, as it offers complete flexibility to socialise as much or as little as you want to. It's also very good value for money when eating out or buying local souvenirs. For me the wild swimming was an absolute highlight, the fresh jade green water was gorgeous and we got to swim every day. I cannot rate this holiday highly enough - it is the perfect blend of adventure, swimming, downtime and flexibility so if you haven't visited Montenegro then put it on your travel wish-list!

We had a fabulous holiday in beautiful Montenegro . We did so many fun activities (enjoyed by us adults and all the kids aged 10 - 17) and it was incredibly relaxing. We completely lucked out with Ozzy our guide - he was utterly brilliant and made the holiday for us.

This was our third family holiday with Undiscovered Balkans (after Croatia and Montenegro) and once again it was outstanding. We explored Northern Albania on a three-centre trip – glamping by Lake Shkodra, staying in a traditional house in Theth high in the Alps, and finishing in Krujë with breathtaking views across the plains. The activities were brilliantly organised – from paddleboarding and cycling to hiking and wild-river swimming – and everything ran smoothly. We had three excellent guides: Aurora, Elsa, and Albert, with Albert standing out for his exceptional attentiveness. His knowledge of local history and geography was superb, and he went above and beyond to make sure every member of the group was well looked after.Albania itself is a beautiful country with amazing food, landscapes, and warm hospitality. We can’t recommend Undiscovered Balkans highly enough – they’ve given us three unforgettable holidays in a row!

We spent 7 magical days in Albania on a family adventure. The tour was brilliantly organised and the local guides were knowledgeable with a passion for their local culture and all that Albania has to offer. The landscape was breathtaking. Paddle boarding/hiking/wild swimming and cycling. You name it we did it. The bespoke tour really fit with our family and the tour leader demonstrated how making she was when arranging for a new pair of glasses within an hour for my daughter who dropped her only pair in the lake while paddle boarding. Above and beyond and definitely recommend for thrill seeking families

An absolutely fantastic family holiday! We were very well looked after by Ben and his team. Fantastic days out and wonderful food. Ben was very knowledgeable and passionate and such a great host. The accommodation was perfect. I would highly recommend the Family Multi Activity Holiday. We took our 3 children (18, 16 and 13) and they loved it.

Amazing holiday for our family of three (daughter age 9) traveling with my brother and teenage boys (14 and 17). The villa provides comfortable accommodation and unbeatable views - from the terraces, the swimming pool and bedroom windows. The week long activity holiday offered adventure and relaxation for all and after the crowds of the coast it really did feel like we were in undiscovered territory! Ben is a wealth of knowledge and he and the team (Martin Dawn and Carly) were hugely helpful, welcoming and fun, adding to the experience. The activities came together with apparent ease, carefully planned and perfectly pitched. Our daughter discovered fun she didn’t know existed, jumping from bridges and showering in waterfalls. Wonderful way to experience a stunning country.
